# Location / time zone error

New user. Every time I load the page it pops up “Error: Need a valid city\_code and time zone.”
I have gone to the location panel and entered my city by name and hit save. It shows up as my location (and when I try to delete it, it says something like “cannot delete the active location”). I have also tried entering the lat/long manually. I made a couple locations and the error pops up when I switch between them.
I am not able to get a list of DSOs to populate, presumably because of this error.
Any ideas?

The two things you are describing (the error message and lack of DSOs) makes me thing there’s something preventing your location from being set correctly. Could you please try clearing your browser cache for [telescopius.com](http://telescopius.com) and try again?
