# Observing location time zone error

Hi Sebastian - I’m building a target list for my trip to Atacama, Chile in March. I created an observing location with the lat/long of the site and selected UTC -3hr (America-Santiago) for the time zone. The observing location has UTC -5hr. In the edit window it shows -3hrs, but when I save it, the information in the observing location still says -5hrs.

Hi there, sorry for the late reply!

Can you please double check the location is actually selected? I’m suspecting you might have edited the right location but there was a custom location in effect at that point.

If you are still having issues, a screenshot could be helpful to see what could be going on. Thanks!
