I added some zoom lenses (traditional camera lens) to the “My Equipment” part of my profile. After adding, I edited some of the newly added lenses (i.e., changed the “Model/Name,” changed the “Aperture” (to correspond to differening focal lengths for zoom lenses), etc.
Each time I edited and saved an item, the list of lenses saved properly within the “My Profile > Equipment” page. The bug occurs when I later go to the Telescope Simulator. As I drop down the “My Telescopes” button, I see extra telescopes (lenses) that seemingly were previously edited entries that failed to delete in this particular view.
To be clear, the “My Profile > Equipment” page has deleted those previous lenses (telescopes) properly. But the “My Telescope” dropdown button within the Telescope Simulator failed to delete them.
I’ve just tried editing/deleting equipment - particularly telescopes/lenses, which you had problem with - and every deleted telescope was removed from the simulator, and editions took effect right away.
Are you still having this issue? If so, could you please let me know which device you are running Telescopius on?
In the meantime, a workaround would be to refresh the page, or close/reopen the app. That should do it, as any cache that might be affected would be reset that way.
Yes, the issue persists, even after clearing my cache. I am running Telescopius (web interface) on my MacBook Pro. Some details are:
macOS Sequoia 15.0.1
Apple silicon (M1)
MS Edge web browser Version 129.0.2792.89 (Official build) (arm64)
I wanted to include two screenshots from Telescopius web but the forum only allows “New Users” to embed one image, it seems. I’m NOT going to include an image from “My Profile > Equipment,” which shows my telescopes (lenses) without duplicates (actually triplicates). I’ll only include the image from my Telescope Simulator telescope drop-down…
