I have my camera in normal position connected to RC61 scope.
I’ve selected Christmas Tree Nebula in Asiair and started imaging.
Now when I go to the same region in Telescopius, it shows completely different orientation.
I don’t understand how to set it up for EQ mount so I can frame using Telescopius.
The Asiair and Telescopius do not use the same orientation convention. Furthermore, the meaning of this angle is inconsistent across different astronomy software programs.
IMO Telescopius is correct in this regard and follows the IAU definition (Position angle - Wikipedia)
To convert the Asiair angle to Telescopius angle (and vice versa), proceed as follows: Asiair_angle = 360 - Telescopius_angle
Note that you might get a difference of 180°, but this doesn’t really matter.
