Newb User Question / Observatory Location vs. Deep Sky Object List

Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii. I’ve defined my viewing location and all my gear with success, but I’m totally confused as to the disparity of location as I’ve highlighted in this screen shot?

Is this disparity normal, or is this perhaps the closest referential location for us out here?
I’ve reset filters in the Search Parameters as was suggested by other posts here, but still disparate.

Hoping someone can guide me to an answer over my confusion.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The behind the scenes is that in some cases your location is guessed by IP address, but that’s not an exact science as IP addresses tend to be reallocated to different providers.

On top of that, there is a bug on Telescopius because of which those 2 can get out of sync. I’ll try to fix that ASAP.

Thank you for your reply Seba!
I presumed this disparity was using secondary geo locating methods, and I was curious as to the overall accuracy of DSO’s and their track thru the evening sky. If the app used viewing location it would indeed be most ideal.

Thanks again for your awesome platform!
