Upload a list of targets to my observing list?

Is it possible to upload a list of observing targets into an observing list in telescopius?

For example, I would like to upload the list of galaxies in the flat galaxy observing program into a list in Telescopius. Then I can use this list to see what is up for a given night when planning an observing session.

Each line would have the galaxy ID:
NGC 5526
UGC 6667
MCG-3-33-30
ESO 316-G018
IC 3322A

I’ve added this feature on the latest release 250516.1501. You can find the “Add multiple targets” option in the “three dots” menu of the list:

Please note, some of the IDs you try to add might not be on Telescopius database yet, so you’ll get a confirmation message telling you which objects could not be added. In your example, ESO 316-G018 is not found, and MCG-3-33-30 is actually MCG -03-33-030 but the search algorithm currently can’t find it due to the missing zeroes. I’ll see if I can fix that soon.

Let me know how it goes!

Really appreciate the enhancement! Do you think you’ll ever be able to add the key stars to the database? Perhaps named stars and popular stars e.g. those in the Astronomy League lists (double stars, carbon stars)?

I tested the enhancement and it works GREAT for DSO’s.

Yes, absolutely. Adding stars is definitely on the backlog although I don’t have an ETA yet.
